OEC Group is currently looking for an experienced in-house recruiter to join our HR team.
The ideal candidate is someone with a strong interest in recruitment, the ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and strong communication and interpersonal skills.  
As a Recruitment Coordinator you'll coordinate with Hiring Managers throughout our Southwest region offices.

You will begin training on the daily operations of your position to understand the Freight Forwarding industry. Following, you'll receive training regarding the daily activity of the recruitment team including, reviewing applications, phone screening qualified candidates, interviewing candidates and on-boarding new hires to the company.

About the Position

Duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):

  • Confers with management and supervisors to identify job specifications, job duties, qualifications, and skills.
  • Recruits, interviews and selects employees to fill vacant positions.
  • Develops and maintains network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates.
  • Reviews applications and interviews applicants to obtain work history, education, training, job skills, and salary requirements, and to provide information about the organization and position.
  • Screens and refers candidates for additional interviews with others in organization.
  • Experience sourcing and recruiting passive candidates
  • Writes and places job advertising in various media.
  • Coordinates and participates in setting up display and working at job fairs.
  • Develops and maintains contacts with universities, alumni groups, and other public organizations to find and attract applicants.
  • Makes public presentations at schools, organizations, and job fairs regarding the organization and opportunities.

Work Schedule

Office hours: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm PST

Looking for candidates with good follow up abilities, strong organizational skills, and excellent communication skills.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree or one to three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Logistics industry experience preferred.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office.
