About the Position 

Duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):

  • Communicate with internal business users, team members and out-sourced vendors to complete projects or solve issues.
  • Communicate with internal business users and perform detailed process flow and requirement analysis, design and implementation onto service desk platform and requirement management platform.
  • Work with IT service manager to design and implement IT processes such as Incident/Problem Management, Asset Management, Change management, etc.
  • Platform(s)/solutions operation and maintenance.
  • Automate redundant jobs and improve efficiencies (i.e. Server builds, configuration management, etc.).
  • Establish and document best-practice procedures in areas of expertise.
  • Participate in architecture, planning, and support of the hosted and cloud environments.
  • Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and reduce touch labor.
  • Assist in designing, provisioning, maintaining, and scaling custom solutions for deployments, monitoring, orchestration, and provisioning.
  • Analyze and resolve problems associated with key infrastructure components including servers, databases, CI tools, applications, and software.
  • Partner with dev teams to provide operational environment expertise.
  • Solution analysis and comparison.
  • Ensure solutions are maintained for high availability, scalability, security and supportability.
  • System and network maintenance and troubleshooting.

Work Schedule

OEC Group Los Angeles Office 8:00 am- 5:00 pm PST

Required Qualifications

  • knowledge of ITIL
  • knowledge of SDLC, Kanban
  • knowledge of SCRUM, XP, Test Methodology
  • 5+ years of experience in design and implementation of SDLC related solutions, such as Jenkins, Github, Ansibles.
  • Design and implement CI/CD
  • Experience in IaaS and PaaS service design and implementation
  • Experience in Microsoft Azure
  • Knowledge of cloud architecture, cloud operations, security, automation and orchestration
  • Experience with Windows and Linux system administration, with ability to write automation scripts using PowerShell and Bash

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiar with dockers or Kubernetes
  • Familiar with AWS/Azure
  • Education & Certification
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or engineering
  • Microsoft Azure architect certified
  • Kubernetes certified
