LTL Customer Service Representative (Logistics/Transportation)


Serving as an integral member of our transportation team, a successful candidate will be able to handle multiple tasks and efficiently prioritize work to meet deadlines. Candidates must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written as well as the ability to interface with all levels of personnel professionally and effectively. Candidates must possess the ability to be punctual, reliable, display strong attention to detail, and able to handle pressure.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Arrangement, coordination, and tracking of shipping transactions (from purchase order to delivery)
  • Less-Than-Truckload (LTL), Full Truck Load (FTL), Flatbed, Intermodal
  • Documentation management and quality control (domestic)
  • Prepare bill of landings for merchandise delivery, coordinate with carriers for LTL, TL, shipments.
  • Front line customer service and troubleshooting
  • Account relationship-building and maintenance
  • Handle and resolve various complaint and claims from customers
  • Over, short and damage claims processing
  • Tracking and payment resolution participation and compliance


Detail oriented and highly organized. Effective interpersonal and organizational skills. Portray commitment, professionalism, formality and a sense of urgency to meet the criteria needed for this industry. Experience in the freight forwarding industry or working with multi-national companies is highly desirable, however not necessary to apply. Knowledge in National Motor Freight Carrier (NMFC) classification. Bilingual (Chinese or Spanish) is a plus.

Education and/or Experience

An Associate's Degree is preferred; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience dealing with a high volume of data entry.
